FINAL THOUGHTS

You know, I’d honestly rather not do a final thoughts post about this season, just because my final thoughts are still extremely sour, considering this already terrible season – before the finale – ended on such a sour note, but I’m just gonna try and finish this as fast as I possibly can, and speak more about the positives than the negatives of this season (when I get to the contestants). Before focusing on the positives, however, I would like to address the mess that this season was. Season one (or four, technically) was pretty solid. It wasn’t the best thing ever, but for a first cycle it was pretty decent. Following this season, Denmark’s Next Top Model just keeps getting BETTER and BETTER. This season just doesn’t seem to fit in with this series, in general. The shoots were terrible, the contestants were generally really weak, and at the end of it all, they gave one of the worst girls this season the win. At least one good thing comes out of finally coming to the end with this season, which is: every other season of DNTM I cover will be extremely enjoyable to cover, because there are FANTASTIC shoots and contestants to come. Additionally, all of the other winners of the series are absolutely amazing. Julie seriously does NOT fit in with the current winners’ circle of DNTM. But whatever, I’m done ranting about how crappy of this season was; let’s just get this done with already.

1) Natasja (2.1) 1/1/4/2/1/6/1/1

I LOVE this girl. She was clearly the best thing to come out of this season. Since the absolute beginning of the season, I knew that this girl was going to be my winner. She started off getting my first call-out for that crappy Gossip! magazine shoot, and ever since that, her average kept getting further and further ahead of everybody else’s. She received five out of eight of my FCOs this season, and I think it goes without saying that she had the best portfolio of the season. She may not be the biggest sex bomb and she may not have the most editorial look ever, but she was definitely the best model and the most photogenic girl of the season. She had one screw up imo, which was her swimwear picture in week seven, but aside from that, she delivered every single week, and she constantly changed up her poses and expressions each week, which allowed her to never bore me. Unfortunately, post-show, it doesn’t seem like Natasja models anymore, which is extremely depressing, seeing as she does have massive potential, but apparently, she’s serving in the navy now (or at least she did), so I’m very proud of her and wish her all the luck possible with whatever she decides to do in life.

2) Kimmi (3.4) 4/2/6/3/2

Another girl that I absolutely enjoyed to see progress throughout this season. I truly never viewed Kimmi as one of the standouts for this season. My initial opinion of her still was that she’s a very solid model, but I certainly didn’t expect her to get second place in my averages. Additionally, even though she didn’t receive a single FCO from me, she turned it out in pictures basically every week. Her picture in week three could have been slightly better, but it was still an all-round solid picture, especially considering the quality the shots were that week. Portfolio aside, Kimmi does have one of my favorite looks this season. She’s young, tall, has a fantastic body, and an extremely versatile face. She could easily do commercial or editorial work. She has a very blank canvas type of look, which is probably my absolute favorite thing about her. I’m glad she has her fair share of pictures post-show, but like Natasja, I really do think she could have done a lot more work; she’s beautiful and still rather young, so I do hope she tries out modeling once more and hopefully sticks with it. By the way, she’s my runner-up, for sure.

3) Nanna L. (3.5) 2/5/8/5/3/1/2/2

You know, even though Nanna L. is ranked third place overall in the averages, she’s far from my third favorite girl of the season. I think the reason for why she’s ranked this high is simply the fact that as the season progressed great girls kept getting cut, so it was easier for her to get high call-outs. If Amalie, Camilla, Zola, and some others weren’t cut as soon as they were, I do believe that Nanna’s average would be exceptionally lower than this. Also, I do think Nanna’s look is pretty damn bland. She has that pedestrian thing going on with her, and I don’t think her body is that great either. She needs to lose a little bit of weight, in my opinion, to have a model’s body. Complaints aside, this girl was pretty photogenic. I know I constantly crap on her for her bland look, but I got to give it to her – she produced some really strong pictures. Her bikini shot is probably her strongest shot of the season, and definitely one of my favorite pictures of the season. So, while she is photogenic, I cannot possibly call her model, and for that, I would cut her at the circus shoot. I think Amalie, Camilla, Kimmi, Johanna, Natasja, Zola (my top six) had more modeling potential than her, and that’s why I wouldn’t bring her any further than that.

4) Johanna (3.7) 3/4/3/6/4/3/3

Gorgeous. God, Johanna started out sf strong. It’s disappointing that she got worse and worse as the season progressed, because I truthfully think she had a hell of a lot of potential. I know I’ve said it a lot now, but damn – this girl’s body slays my life. Toned tummy, long legs and neck – she has such fantastic proportions. In the start of the competition, Johanna seemed to have really good expressions, and I never critiqued harshly on what her face looked like, but for some reason her expressions got worse when the competition went on. I’m not really sure how that’s possible. Maybe they were telling her to change up her expressions or something, or maybe they were just choosing pictures of her where her face doesn’t look that great. I’m not really sure what happened to her, but her face was definitely what brought down majority of her pictures towards the end of the competition. Sadly, while I would love to bring Johanna further than the top six, because I do think she has a hell of a lot potential, I do agree with where she was cut. She wasn’t delivering anymore, and she seemed to really have lost her spark in which she had at the start.

5) Amalie (4.0) 5/8/2/1

I know it’s kind of cliche to group people together based upon their skin complexion and hair color, but between Amalie and Nanna L., I do think Amalie was the more photogenic girl. The reason why I could consider Amalie a model over Nanna is that she has a fantastic body; she’s one of the tallest girls this season. Also, I do think she was a bit more photogenic than Nanna. Their faces are on par with one another, but I do prefer Amalie by a fair bit. Like many of the other eliminations this season, I didn’t at all understand Amalie’s elimination. She got best picture of the week for her paint picture, which she deserved (although I would have given it to Zola), and then she was eliminated two weeks later for her quite stunning Butcher picture? Makes no sense to me. It’s not like she was underrated each week (like Zola); she instead was rated properly each week and then was randomly cut in a week where she actually did fantastic? Makes no sense; I suppose her elimination was the -shock boot- of the season or something, I don’t know. She’s an extremely photogenic girl, though, and I would certainly give her a position in my top five.

6) Zola (4.3) 6/6/1

If I’m being completely honest, of all of the eliminations this season, the elimination that bugged me the most would have to be Zola’s. I’m sure a lot of people would disagree with me on that opinion, but hear me out. A lot of people pushed her aside as one of the best models of the season as we already have another strong woman of color (which was Johanna). Also, people seemed to be more fixed on how robbed girls like Amalie and Kimmi were rather than Zola for the fact that their eliminations are more recent than hers. Go on RTVGames, and you’ll see people rant on about how “robbed” Amalie and Kimmi were – which I do agree with, don’t get me wrong – but not nearly as many people mention how robbed Zola was. In my opinion, of the three, she was probably the most consistent. Maybe not the most modelesque – I’d probably award that to Kimmi – but even in challenges, Zola delivered amazingly. Her face is so Goddamn strong, and her makeover really helped me notice how strong her face is. Personally, I do think Zola was the strongest woman of color this season, and therefore, she goes to the top three for me.

7) Shenna (6.7) 13/9/5/9/5/2/4

Even though I constantly grouped Shenna with Julie and Carla for the girls who should gtfo in earlier posts, I personally don’t think Shenna was nearly as bad as them. Yeah, I do concur with many that she is by no means a model, but at least she’s remotely young looking and semi-interesting to look at. I never noticed how square-shaped her face is ’til now, and I’m kind of intrigued tbh. She truly does have some really interesting features, and most of the time, I never truly noticed them, because of how trashy she was constantly styled. What made her look so trashy was those constant eyelash extensions she was given in practically every shoot. Every once in a while, I do think the eyelash extensions worked, but 90 percent of the time, it looked like she washed up on the Jersey shore or something. She looks SO much better without them. But, there’s no denying that she isn’t a very photogenic girl, and her Butcher picture is AWFUL. I would definitely eliminate her there.

8) Julie (6.8) 15/3/10/7/6/4/6/3

Sigh… So, apparently, Julie won this season of Denmark’s Next Top Model, because they wanted a lesbian winner. I have no clue whether or not this is true, but I wouldn’t be shocked tbh. I have never come across a person who thought Julie had the best portfolio of this season, and I sincerely doubt the judges thought she was the best model of the season. Her win just makes no sense, and while I don’t at all think that your sexual orientation should be the deciding factor for whether or not you should win something, it’s the most logical reasoning for her win, even if it isn’t true. I think I’ve already expressed my hatred towards Julie enough this season, and I’m just sick of seeing her face. She’s definitely the first out for me (alongside Cecilie). Hah, kind of funny that I’m eliminating the winner in the very first week of the competition, but c’mon – that’s where she SHOULD have been eliminated in the first place. Worst winner in NTM history.

9) Camilla (7.0) 7

How in the hell does the girl who was eliminated in week one of the competition have the best promo shot of the season? In week one, I believe I addressed that she was extremely robbed, and I stand by that comment 100 percent. Yes, her picture wasn’t THAT amazing; it was actually probably more on the bad side than good, but come tf on – THIS GIRL IS STUNNING. Look at that face, look at that body. Tell me HOW a girl this stunning could possibly be eliminated first? Even if she took the worst picture in week one, I definitely would not have even thought about eliminating her first. There was still so much trash to take out before she was eliminated. Julie, Carla, Shenna, Nanna S., Sara, even Nanna L. and Silvija tbh. I don’t care if this is an unpopular opinion, but she goes to the top five for me; I KNOW she could have turned it out in pictures based on this promo shot alone.

10) Silvija (7.2) 10/7/7/4/8

Silvija was definitely that type of girl that I didn’t really pay much attention to the first time going through this season. I did notice she had a pretty solid face with a fantastic jawline and beautiful cheekbones, but she just wasn’t delivering very much in the photoshoots, so I pushed her off as a filler, somewhat. But now, I do think she is a solid model. Yeah, her average is far less than some of the other solid models of the season, but nonetheless, I do think she’s a stunning girl. Her body does seem to need a little bit of work, but at the same time, her curves kind of work to her advantage, in my opinion. I do think she could find success being a plus-sized model, actually. Very sexy, very pretty – she could have definitely made a lot of money being a commercial model, if she kept modeling. Maybe not the most editorial girl ever, but still one of the better girls of this season, for sure. Top 8 for me.

11) Carla (8.0) 8/12/11/8/7/5/5

You know, for some reason, Carla annoyed me far more than Julie did this season. I’m not entirely sure why, considering Carla was far less overrated than Julie by the judges, but she just did. I know I said numerous times that I don’t particularly enjoy Carla’s look, and I still do stand by that opinion, but now that I’m looking at her in an overall viewpoint, I do understand the appeal people have for her. I don’t like her look, but if someone said they liked her look a lot, I would understand it. Even if you did like Carla’s look, I’m sure almost everyone would agree with me when stating Carla hardly ever delivered strong pictures this season. Her picture in week one was probably her best picture of the season, and ever since week one, she just went downhill it seemed. She landed in the bottom two/three six times in a row for me, and I don’t at all understand how I missed that until like week seven or something. I’m just done with seeing this girl’s name and face. Next.

12) Josefine (9.5) 9/10

I think Josefine is a very beautiful girl. Kinda on the bland side, and not entirely modelesque looking, but a beautiful girl nonetheless. It was kind of unfortunate to see her get eliminated in week two for her incredibly uncomfortable looking picture, but I do think there were far worse girls that needed to be eliminated over her at that point in the competition. Plus, I’d much rather see a girl perform in the middle of the road rather than absolutely terrible, so I’d take Josefine to the top 10 – and cut her with Shenna – simply because there’d no longer be any Carlas, Julies, or Cecilies to be eliminated over her at that point.

13) Nanna S. (10.7) 12/11/9

Nanna S. was clearly the weaker Nanna. I don’t at all think she’s a model, and her portfolio was pretty damn bad. She never took the worst picture of the week, nor was she absolutely atrocious – she just took bad pictures – but as soon as she landed in the bottom 2/3 (depending on the week), I’d definitely eliminate her. In week one and two, she was in the bottom 4 and then 3, respectively (for me), but in week three, she would have landed in the bottom three, and I would have eliminated her there. Cute girl tho, ig.

14) Sara (12.0) 11/13/12

I really did want to like Sara, because I did think she had a little bit of untapped potential, but she just never delivered on the show. I actually think her face is one of the better ones of the season if I’m being completely honest. I love the shape of her nose and mouth. Plus, she has fantastic skin. Her body, also, was by no means bad (look at those legs!). I’d most likely eliminate her in week three, just because in week two, where she clearly did the worst, she would have landed in the bottom two with Carla for me, and I definitely prefer Sara’s look to Carla’s, even if Carla’s portfolio was better than Sara’s at that point.

15) Cecilie (14.0) 14

I have virtually no opinion of this girl. I kinda forgot she was even apart of this season, since the last time I saw a picture of her was over six months ago (lol). She’d still be eliminated first for me (alongside Julie), as her picture in week one doesn’t seem like it was a one-time thing now that I’m looking at this picture, which is, probably, the worst promo shot of the season.

WEEK 9

I’ve been pushing this write-up off for about a week now, because this week just SUCKS. I’m not going to sugar coat it any, this week was total crap. Why was it such a shitty finale? Well, I’m sure ya’ll already know why, and if you don’t – we’ll get to that momentarily. Before the shoot, two girls were eliminated. The two girls eliminated were Carla and Shenna. I would have preferred Shenna to make it into the final three over Julie, but I mean, with two good girls in the final three, it did seem as though the odds were favoring the actual good models of the season (even though Nanna isn’t a model at all lol). So, before looking at who won this season, I totally thought Natasja or Nanna L. had it in the bag. But NOPE. Yup, Julie won. Worst winner of NTM ever? Definitely up there. Total shit winner, total shit season; let’s get this done with already.

1) Natasja (Eliminated)

I love it how the strongest girl of the season, EASILY, didn’t even get second place for this season. I’ve said it a thousand times – yes, her body isn’t the best thing ever, BUT she easily has the most photogenic and best editorial look of the season. And on top of that, her portfolio is superb! Just look at this picture – it’s freaking STUNNING. The contrast of gold, green, and hazel here is absolute perfection, and possibly my favorite thing about this picture. I adore how much the color of Natasja’s eyes is popping here. I think how the eye makeup was applied to Natasja’s face looks slightly lazy, but she looks absolutely gorgeous. She definitely did the best this week, and I don’t at all know how she was eliminated over two extremely bland looking girls. She’s up there with Elise from last season as one of the most robbed girls of Denmark’s Next Top Model.

2) Nanna L. (Runner-up)

Eh. This is by no means a fashionable image, but I don’t think this is that bad of a picture. I don’t at all understand why Nanna L.’s makeup is so much heavier than Natasja and Julie’s. Obviously, with a red lip and eyelash extensions Nanna’s going to look extremely sexual looking. But, to be fair, Nanna having her mouth open here certainly helps emphasize the sleaziness in this picture. Aside from Nanna looking like a porn star here, I do think this is an all-round solid picture of her. Her eyes, lips, and jawline all look exceptionally good. Her cheekbones aren’t really popping, even with all that makeup on, but what do you expect coming from Nanna? So, while I don’t at all love this picture of Nanna, it’s definitely not her worst picture. But still, she should have definitely won over Julie (in that final two).

3) Julie (Winner)

Terrible, terrible winner, but this isn’t entirely a bad picture of Julie. It’s probably one of her better pictures, which is WHY she’s such a terrible winner. I don’t exactly mind how masculine Julie appears here. I’m more so bothered by how awkward looking her expression is. First off, I don’t get why she has her mouth open. It looks like she’s trying to bit into a nonexistent apple or something. The fact there’s absolutely no connection between her and the camera, too, is something that bothers me. In Nanna’s picture, I don’t think it was AS big of a problem, but here – it just adds to the oddness of the image. I just don’t freaking understand why Julie won. It makes absolutely zero sense.

WEEK 8

(Happy New Year, everyone!)

Just two more weeks until this competition is officially done with! For some reason, it feels like I have so much more of this competition to do. It’s most likely because I’m officially done with this season, mentally, but I mean, you guys already know that I am, so now I’m just being monotonous and repetitive, lmao. Anywhooo, this week of the competition, the girls modeled in pairs at a desert.. apparently? The setting in these pictures does not appear to be a desert whatsoever; however, Wikipedia said they modeled in a desert, soooo ig I’ll trust that, lel. Maybe it was a semi arid desert or something? Either way, I think this shoot is solid; I like the concept, I could see something like this in Vogue, but the execution was MEH. Natasja and Nanna were the only pair to deliver anything relatively good, and the other two pairs performed sub par. At the end of the week, someone was eliminated, unlike last week, but unfortunately it was one of the few good girls left.. Ugh, she didn’t even do THAT bad. Plus, there were far worse performances than her. But, I mean, I’ve gotten used to these repulsive eliminations, so I don’t even feel like expressing why this elimination sucked so much since I’ve gotten too used to these shit eliminations at this point.

1) Natasja

Beautiful. This shot is stunnnnnnnning. I am so glad Natasja is back from her terrible picture from last week. Truly, I think this is probably Natasja best performance in the competition. While I do think Nanna L. looks great here, Natasja TRULY takes this picture to the next level. She’s clearly the standout in the picture, and Nanna just falls into the background. Well, I mean, I think it kind of helps that Nanna actually is in the background, lmao. But I’m down talking about Nanna here – I’ll get to her shortly. What makes this picture so magical is: Natasja. This is probably the most she’s looked like Natasha Poly, and I think that’s what I love most about this picture. Plus, dis bish looks 6’0”+ here. God, she’s so freaking photogenic, and I truly can’t believe she’s JUST 5’7”. What she’s wearing, the makeup, the way she’s looking off to the left (her left) – perfection. There’s no doubt that Natasja was the star of this week, but.. I mean, when is she not?

2) Nanna L.

While I do think Natasja is the clear standout of this picture, I do think Nanna’s doing a fairly good job here. Her look is far less interesting than Natasja, which is probably why she doesn’t stand out as much as her. But, at the same time, Nanna doesn’t stand out in this picture for being in the background. Obviously, the first thing I look at this picture is Natasja (as she’s slaying my life with that pose and expression), but the second thing I look at here should be Nanna, but it’s not; I look at the dog second. I just think the composition of the shot could have been far better than it actually is. It’s unfair to Nanna that Natasja was in the foreground while Nanna was in the background. She just seems like an accessory of Natasja’s. Like, if she weren’t in this picture, this picture would still be just as good as it is with her. Aside from her not standing out in this picture, I do think Nanna looks a little stubby here too. She just looks short because she’s in the background (and Natasja and the dog both look so tall,as they’re in the foreground). However, I will say that that Nanna’s face is gawwgess here, and I love how the wind is blowing in her hair. She looks gorgeous but just not like a model, unfortunately.

3) Johanna (Eliminated)

Hm. I gotta admit, while I would most likely cut Johanna here too – if I had control of the elimination order – this is such an upsetting cut imo. Even though Johanna somewhat lost that sparkle she had in the beginning of the competition, she’s still easily one of the best girls of this top six, and despite being rather short, she clearly has the best body of this top six, which I think is perfectly depicted here. She does look kinda short, but I love the way she’s standing and holding the dog’s leash. Her pose is very sassy and HBIC, which I think is very suiting, as it matches the rich bitch vibe about this picture. What drags this picture down for me, however, is, once again, Johanna’s face. I don’t know what it is to her face here, but I just don’t really care for it. There’s something rather manly about Johanna’s expression which is probably what bothers me about it. But, I’m starting to think that Johanna’s face just doesn’t photograph that well. She’s had a couple stunning close-ups this season, but generally what brought down her pictures were her faces/expressions. Either way, the show was sf idiotic to eliminate Johanna before the Trashy Trio (Carla, Julie, and Shenna, with Carla being the ringleader).

4) Shenna

Of course, my bottom three are the three girls who shouldn’t even be in the top six. I don’t think Shenna’s performance was all that bad this week, I just think her performance was very forgettable. She doesn’t at all stand out this week; neither for positives or negatives, which I suppose is a good thing for her, considering her pictures are usually bad.. I have the same problem with Shenna in this picture as I did with Nanna in Natasja and her’s picture: Shenna doesn’t stand out. She’s placed in the background, and looks rather short in comparison to Johanna, who was placed in the foreground alongside the dog. Additionally, I do find what Johanna is doing in this picture to be far more interesting to that of what Shenna is doing here. She’s walking, looking off in the distance. Yawn. I suppose her performance wasn’t dreadful (like these next two), but it still was extremely weak. It’s unfortunate that after her wonderful picture last week, she was unable to sustain the momentum and produce another good picture.

5) Carla

Woo, bottom two again! Great job, Carla! I cannot come around to even remotely appreciate this picture. I suppose I somewhat see why people like this picture, but overall, there’s nothing great about this picture imo. This picture just looks like two dykes walking in a mountainous region. There’s nothing special about this, and I don’t find this photo to be all that fashionable (aside from the faux fur). I decided to rank Carla in front of Julie for the simple fact that nothing about her body or face is dreadful. Neither her face or body look good, but I don’t think there’s anything atrocious about either at the same time. First and foremost, I don’t like how she’s looking off into the distance, and Julie is looking straight at the camera. It makes it seem like there’s some sort of disconnect between the two girls. My overall favorite thing to Carla here would definitely have to be her jawline. But aside from that, there’s nothing I like about her face. This is just a sub par performance from a reallly suckish contestant, and I really have nothing more to say about her this week.

6) Julie

Eh, I suppose I understand why people would rank Julie above the three above her, seeing as her body is pretty good here, but I cannot possibly get past the horrendousness of her face. I absolutely hate how Julie looks so damn scared here. It’s extremely unappealing. At the same time, the excessive amount of makeup they put on her and Carla’s faces is far TOOO much. All it does is puts more notice on Julie’s terrible expression. Plus, the heavy makeup and scared expression (as well as her hair color) – it all makes her appear extremely old. Sure, her body is far better than Carla’s, but it doesn’t at all makeup for her dreadful facial expression, so that’s why I decided to give Julie my elimination vote for the week.

WEEK 7

Before continuing on in this season, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! .. or Happy Holidays (for those who don’t celebrate Christmas). Unfortunately, I’m broke af. So, instead of giving all my devoted viewers materialistic gifts, I offer ya’ll an update to this season, instead. You don’t need to say it, I already know how crappy of a present an update to this season is. You guys would probably prefer me to just start a brand new season instead, but I’d rather get this season of Denmark’s Next Top Model done, as I am planning on doing the later seasons of DNTM sometime in the future. I just want to get this trashy season done with before carrying on to the other seasons in this series (which just so happen to be all amazing in their own right).

Anyway, with that aside – this week of the competition was TERRIBLE. This week is possibly my absolute least favorite week of the competition. This week of the competition featured a non-elimination bottom two, and guess who the bottom two were? Carla and Julie. HAH. That’s why I hate this week so much – we’ve had plenty of double eliminations this entire season, so the judges making this week a non-elimination round WITH THOSE TWO PARTICULAR GIRLS in the bottom two is what I find to be so irksome. Literally, they saved the worst two models of the season. I’m not even joking – they both suck so badly at modeling. Elimination aside, I do think this photoshoot is one of the better ones in this season. It’s by no means amazing, but it’s not completely over-the-top to the point where I literally want to throw my computer out of my window. It’s just an OK photoshoot; nothing more, nothing less.

1) Nanna L.

This is easily my favorite picture of the week. While I don’t exactly think Nanna’s body or face look that amazing here, the raw emotion I receive from her expression is what makes this picture so breathtaking to look at. Her cheekbones are hardly defined, but I adore the snarl, the squint of her eyes, and the connection between her and the male model. I got to admit, I’m absolutely shocked Nanna’s connection with that male model looks as real as it does here. Like, she’s 17, and that male model clearly does not appear to be around her age, but the fact she was still able to produce a picture this amazing is highly commendable, imo. The only thing that bothers me in this picture is how pushed together Nanna’s breasts are, just because I do find it a little too pornographic, especially for a 17 year old. If she were 20-something, however, I doubt I would be bothered by how sexual this picture is.

2) Shenna

WOAH?! Shenna?! Second? WHAT. I bet you guys didn’t see this coming at all. While this is not at all as amazing as Nanna’s picture, I still think this is a very solid photograph. Shenna’s not really emoting anything, facially, which is most likely why this picture doesn’t stand out as much as Nanna’s does, but this is definitely the best Shenna’s face has looked this entire season. I can gladly say that this is the first time Shenna looks like a model! Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m starting to believe the best thing about this picture is the fact Shenna isn’t emoting much, facially. Her expressions usually look really forced or over-the-top to the point where she doesn’t even appear to be attractive. But here, she truly looks gorgeous. I can finally appreciate Shenna’s unique features without stating the obvious negatives about her face. So, even though this picture is far from the best thing to come out of this season, I can finally say that I sincerely enjoy a photograph of Shenna’s.

3) Johanna

This is quite a drop in quality from my top two for this week, but I wouldn’t say that we’re at the bad pictures for this week… yet. Once again, I really like Johanna’s body but there’s still something missing in this picture, facially. But unlike last week, I wouldn’t say Johanna’s body looks flawless here. Her chest and skin both look amazing, but the overall feel of this picture is completely tense. Because there’s very little fluidity with her pose, it somewhat appears as though she’s stuck in that position, underneath that guy. Plus, her arm is incredibly stiff. Just like her body, I also think Johanna’s face is very tense looking here. The way she has her mouth open, as well as how she’s looking at the camera – it all just seems so awkward. She just doesn’t appear to be comfortable here, and I don’t at all think this picture looks natural; I don’t think it’s absolutely terrible, but there are many flaws to this picture.

4) Julie

Speaking of awkwardness, this picture is sf odd looking. There’s so many things wrong with this picture, it’s not even funny. What I do find to be funny, however, is the fact that this picture isn’t even in my bottom two for the week, lmao. So, let me just list all of the things wrong with this picture just to make it easier for you guys: Julie looks like a man, her chest is flatter than a damn table, her shoulders look humongous, the way she’s bending her neck back looks unnatural, she looks incredibly greasy, her face looks very unaware, this picture isn’t sexual/sensual at all, she looks like she’s yanking the guy’s head down to sniff her shoulder..? This is a horrid picture, but luckily for Julie, others outdid her horridness, which is honestly sf shocking bc this picture is legit crap. I’m… disgusted.

5) Carla

I was looking at my elimination votes, and was shocked to see that I have yet to give her an elimination vote, despite her having a suckish portfolio. So, I looked at her placement in past weeks to check that I didn’t make a mistake, and I actually noticed I ranked her in the bottom two for five weeks in a row now.. lmao. I don’t even know why I’m “lmao”-ing, because it’s honestly so sad. She’s just NOT a model, nor is she even remotely photogenic. Just like the two pictures ranked above her, Carla looks very awkward here. First of all, her body is absolutely terrible for swimwear. Like, wtf, where are her boobs? And I’m confused.. are those abs on her mid-section or..? Her body is just awful in this picture. Her face, too, is really bad. I don’t get why she’s looking up away from the camera. She just seems so out of placed in this picture.

6) Natasja

SHOCKER. I am completely aware that this is an unpopular opinion, but I just HATE this picture. At first, I was going to place this above Carla and Julie, but I thought it’d be very biased of me, because this is definitely my least favorite picture of the week. I just think Natasja’s face looks sf bad here. She looks uncomfortable, ugly, and kind of looks like she’s about to sneeze? And her stiff neck and pose just adds to the tense nature of this picture. This picture just isn’t attractive.. It’s almost like Shenna and Natasja exchanged modeling skills for just this week. I’m SHOCKED Natasja could produce a picture this horrendous, and I don’t at all understand the love this picture gets from people. Who would have thought Natasja would produce one of my least favorite pictures this season?

WEEK 6

At this point in the competition, I’ve lost majority of my motivation to finish this season out. Now, I’m kind of just trying to rush through this season as fast as I possibly can, so that it’ll FINALLY be done with, and most of all – so I can finally do an NTM cycle I thoroughly enjoy. I honestly have no clue what I was thinking when I started doing this season. Anyway, with that tangent aside, this week, the girls did a circus photoshoot. With this concept, I was sort of expecting to see over-the-top, crazy stylings and very odd expressions, but actually, instead, this shoot is quite uninspiring and bland. Kind of ironic, really, because the first adjectives that come to mind when thinking of circuses are fun and amusing. At the end of the shoot, two girls were sent packing. In my opinion, both girls had a great deal of potential – even if one of them hardly ever showed it – so these eliminations do suck, but what’s new? The eliminations this season have been horrendous, and there is absolutely no exception for this week.

1) Natasja

Oh, look who’s back – it’s Natasha Poly! Jesus Christ, Natasja’s face is sf beautiful. Her cheekbones look more defined than ever, her eyes are sparkling, and her lips look so full and amazing. However, even though I think Natasja’s face is gorgeous in this picture, I do think her body could look much better than it does here. Because of her great proportions, Natasja has never truly looked her height (5’7.5”) in pictures for me, but here – she does appear to be on the shorter side (for modeling). The reason for that is that she didn’t lengthen her body when posing. She has both of her legs angled towards the camera, which also makes her appear rather short. Even though that flow-y, long dress does kind of add to the beauty and softness of this image, I do think Natasja would have benefited far more had she wasn’t wearing a dress, as it would have allowed for the viewer to see her legs, and therefore she wouldn’t look AS scrunched up as she does here.

2) Kimmi (Eliminated)

A kind of large dip in quality, though still not at all bad. Okay, so, I think it’s safe to say that Kimmi’s elimination makes relatively zero sense. She was given the character – and styling – of a clown to model in this shoot, and I do think she’s conveying a very clown-like attitude without taking it too far or too over-the-top. Also, kudos to Kimmi for pulling off that ugly face paint so well, and also for looking so good in such a garbage outfit. Even though I do think this picture is great as is, if I could change anything about it, I would have preferred Kimmi’s hands to at least not look as stiff and large as they do here. Basically, I think this picture would have been better off without the usage of her hands, as that shocked/confused expression is sufficient enough for my amusement, and I do think Kimmi’s stiff hands are highly unnecessary. With or without Kimmi’s hands showing in this picture, however, this elimination is still completely berserk and doesn’t at all make sense.

3) Nanna L.

I’ve literally been stuck on this girl’s write-up for the past couple of days. I’m not entirely sure why, but I don’t really know what there is to say about this picture. There aren’t very many flaws to it, just I find this picture to be incredibly boring and uninspiring. So uninspiring that I didn’t feel like writing about it, lel. I mean, like, Nanna does look good in this picture, don’t get me wrong; just she’s not really doing much, and her look is rather bland, therefore she needs to something in order to produce a stand-out shot, imo, and here – she’s just standing there looking off in the distance. Also, her body does look relatively pudgy here. Nanna doesn’t exactly have a good, modelesque body to begin with, and that huge tutu kind of adds to the thickness of her body. Muhh, I have really nothing more to add about this picture.

4) Johanna

Opposite situation here. This picture is quite interesting – due to the cool pose and large bow on Johanna’s head – and Johanna’s body looks fantastic in this picture! With the exception of the pose being rather cheesy, I absolutely adore Johanna’s pose. Her body language is very playful and cute, and I really do dig it. I do concur with some that her pose is somewhat unmodelesque, but in this setting, I do think it works to some extent. I also applaud Johanna for taking command in this picture, and not allowing the elephant to out-shine her. Having said all those positives about this picture, you’re probably wondering why I have this girl ranked below someone whose picture didn’t even motivate me enough to write one paragraph about right on the spot. Well, what I absolutely hate about this shot is Johanna’s face. Holy Jesus. Her face looks really jank, like Carla/Julie/Shenna level jank. Plus, her face is awfully blank-looking. Blank and jank? Ew, terrible combo. How horrendous Johanna’s face looks here really takes away most of the positives to this picture for me.

5) Shenna

Eh, this picture of Shenna is OK, I guess, but like Nanna’s picture, it’s awfully boring to look at. I really don’t care for either Shenna’s face or body in this picture; both are very subpar and not at all interesting to look at. I really don’t like how Shenna angled her body towards the camera. Her torso looks exceptionally long and her legs look rather short. Also, I don’t think her back looks that flattering in this angle. Also, the lighting in this picture is actually reallllly bad. I can hardly see Shenna’s face without zooming in. I want to blame Shenna for not “finding her light” or w/e, but even the light caught on Shenna’s body is very poor. While Shenna’s body isn’t great, as she lost her one arm and the other is covered by her head, I kind of really like how she’s modeling those heels. I could definitely see this picture as a shoe ad, if it weren’t in.. you know.. a circus setting with shitty-ass lighting. Really, Shenna’s legs are the only thing I like about this picture, lmao.

6) Julie

.. We’re officially at the terrible pictures for this week. While I do commend Julie for being in character in this picture, I don’t entirely believe her in her role. I just find her pose to be extremely stiff and far too pose-y. The one arm in the air, the other holding the zebra, and then looking off to the distance at something? Muh, this picture just gives off a very try-hard and forced aura to it; she doesn’t look natural by any means. Additionally, I don’t like how masculine Julie appears to be in this picture. I’m all for androgyny in fashion models, but there’s a point where it crosses the line for me. And here, Julie looks like a drag queen. Like literally, she looks like Laganja Estranja here. The fact Julie’s torso is so rectangular-shaped in this photo also doesn’t help her look less like a man here. The only thing I like about this picture is how Julie lengthened her neck, but besides that, this photo sucks.

7) Carla

I really don’t care for this picture whatsoever. I doubt this picture would be as atrocious as it is if Carla’s look was remotely attractive and/or modelesque. The angle of her face here could work, but only for girls like Natasja, Kimmi, Nanna L., and Johanna, who look remotely like models and/or are visually attractive. It’s not just the angle of Carla’s face in this shot that I don’t like, however. I also actively dislike the styling Carla received for this shoot. I find it to be completely over-the-top and not at all attractive. It’s like they gave her every single accessory on set, and emptied an entire pallete of eye-shadow onto her face. This picture is just so damn gross in every sort of the way, yet it isn’t even my elimination vote for the week. HAHAHA. (Eek, now that I’m reading this paragraph back, I’m kind of being really rude, so I do apologize to whoever found this write-up to be offensive. I’m just being ~REAL~ and expressing what I truly feel about this picture).

8) Silvija (Eliminated)

Sabotaged. I don’t even think it’s worth typing up a paragraph explaining what I don’t like about this picture, as it CLEARLY wasn’t Silvija’s best shot on set. This doesn’t even look like a professional modeling shot? It looks like a candid, or even worse, a screenshot from the episode when she walked onto set. While I would also eliminate Silvija at this point in the competition – if I had control of the elimination order – the fact they sabotaged the girl THIS badly irritates the hell out of me. She’s not robbed by any means, but even though this picture is total crap, she still should have stayed over girls like Carla, Julie, and Shenna..

WEEK 5

If you haven’t noticed, I skipped week four of this season. I did so, because I believe they did some spider commercial thing that week, and I can’t find any videos to judge, nor do I even want to judge the girls talking in Danish then pulling out some spider from underneath the table and caressing it, as though it were a fuzzy guinea pig. At least, that’s what I got from the gifs that were posted on 9ntm’s next top model gallery. Oh, and also, the girl who was eliminated in week four was Nanna S., so oop, oh well, don’t care; not a big loss at all. Carrying on..

This week’s photoshoot is actually pretty decent! It’s probably one of the best photoshoots of this season, which is both a good and bad thing, as this shoot isn’t exactly fantastic. I think the overall execution was pretty great, though I hate that each of the images are covered in so much text. Like, yeah, I get that these are supposed to be “movie posters” but it just takes so much from all of the pictures. Uhm, as far as the elimination goes – this elimination was complete bs. We’re back to the awful eliminations, and it will most likely remain like this ’til the end of the season, so bear with me, ya’ll; this season only has like five more weeks to it (including this one) and then we’re ~finally~ done with this season. Thank God.

1) Amalie (Eliminated)

Hmm. So, this is an amazing picture! I feel like Amalie’s look is more commercial than high fashion, so I am kind of shocked she was able to turn out a picture this stunning. While her body could be slightly better than it is here, Amalie’s profile is absolutely stunning. The subtle expression, the way she’s looking over her shoulder at what she just did to that guy – I love it. Most murderers look like sociopaths and therefore don’t seem to emote any sort of feeling, but I kind of really love how Amalie looks so grief-stricken here. Basically, I like that she’s emoting something is really all I’m saying, because most of the girls this week are just looking at the camera holding a knife or cigarette in their hand(s). This picture, while not perfect (her one arm is missing, for example), interests me; it’s impactful, there’s ~a story~ to it. Total bullshit this girl was eliminated.

2) Natasja

Natasja can’t do any wrong, it seems. Week after week, she delivers one of the strongest pictures – if not, the strongest picture – of the week. Just like Amalie’s picture, I like Natasja’s picture the second best this week, because it’s interesting to look at. While Natasja’s face doesn’t look the absolute best it can look here, my favorite thing to this picture is her face. There’s something so captivating about the confusion and disgust she’s conveying, facially. Also, I flove how she’s the only one handling both objects (the cigarette and knife), yet doesn’t appear uncomfortable or overwhelmed with both objects. I will say that the confused/disgusted expression somewhat makes Natasja appear older than she actually is (though, I do blame the granny wardrobe she’s wearing too) but besides that, I can’t fault this picture. It’s gorgeous.

3) Kimmi

THAT FACE. <33 Absolute perfection. Although Kimmi isn’t nearly doing as much as Amalie and Nastaja in their respective pictures, I still really like this picture! Sure, there’s minimal “modeling” going on, and she isn’t emoting much, but I’ve really come to appreciate this picture for its the subtleness. Along with the subtle nature to this picture, I also really love how youthful Kimmi appears here. She looks young, but the rather old-looking styling evens out the youth presented and makes her look mature yet still very fresh and youthful at the same time. Probably my only substantial critique about this picture would be that I don’t entirely care for the lack of connection between her and the dead dude. Yes, she’s holding a bloody knife (which was the weapon that killed the guy), but there’s still not enough emotional and physical connection with the dead guy, in my opinion.

4) Silvija

Another stunning face. If I’m being honest, this picture is the most visually appealing photograph of the week. There’s truly nothing wrong with this picture, but at the same time, it doesn’t move me like the latter three do. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a boring or bland picture, just there’s nothing really special about it. With that aside, I really do like a lot of things about this picture. Firstly, that face is absolutely gorgeous. When I was first going through the pictures for this season of DNTM, I never truly noticed how beautiful Silvija’s face is up until this point of the competition. Like damn, cheekbones for days, am I right? I think the fact Silvija’s expression is so sassy yet still modelesque and attractive is what I love most about it. The way she’s standing, with the cigarette in her hand, and acting as though she doesn’t care she killed the guy in the background – it’s just so cool..? I’m sure I could use a more descriptive adjective to elucidate WHY I think this picture is so amazing, but cool just seems so fitting.

5) Nanna L.

Wow, five pictures in and they’re still pretty great! Pretty sure that’s a first for this season, lmao. While I do think this is a beautiful image to look at, I’m not entirely interested by anything in it. Neither Nanna’s body or face look extraordinary here, but likewise, neither look bad. There’s really not much to fault about this picture. I do find Nanna’s features in general to be somewhat bland, so I can’t really say I was expecting more from her, nor can I say I’m disappointed with this outcome. My only critique to this picture would probably be that I find Nanna’s pose to be somewhat modeling 101, but aside from that, I do like the rather sexy and confident vibe she exudes with her pose and expression. Much like Silvija, I really like how Nanna appears as though she has little remorse for killing the guy to the right of her. While I do think Silvija played the remorseless killer archetype better in her picture, Nanna is also doing a pretty decent job and I commend her for it; I just wish she was less model-y and more natural with her pose.

6) Johanna

This is definitely the first not-so-amazing picture of the week. I’m not entirely sure what it is to this picture that I don’t like. Like, Johanna actually looks very beautiful in this picture – gorgeous skin, long, swan-like neck, plus she kind of looks like Joan Smalls, facially – but there’s still something missing from it for me. I think what’s missing from it is the lack of naturality, but I’m not 100 percent sure if that’s what it is. What I mean is – what Johanna is doing in this picture looks very forced. While what Johanna is doing with her neck is surely interesting, I kind of think that’s Johanna’s undoing at the same time. In a beauty shot, I could see what she’s doing here work, but in this setting, with this concept, I don’t think it works all too well. Also, Johanna’s stiff arms also really takes a lot of the rawness out of this picture for me, in that it makes her appear less natural and therefore more pose-y, which is ultimately what takes a lot of my interest out of this picture.

7) Julie

These last three pictures, while not absolutely horrible, bore me to death. I’m not shocked Julie, Carla, and Shenna produced the three most boring pictures of the week, considering how uninspiring each of their looks are, however. Of the three, I do think Julie’s picture is the most attractive, and I do find it to be the least boring, because she is at least conveying some sort of emotion. At the same time, Julie doesn’t look very youthful here; she looks about 40-50, which is what takes majority of my love from this picture. Well, that AND the fact I’m not at all interested by Julie’s look, though I do applaud her for at least looking feminine here, unlike last week. Speaking of femininity, I actually think Julie’s face is quite beautiful here. I really love her lips and the contrast between her pale complexion and bleached blonde hair looks great here, actually. I just wish she didn’t squint her eyes as much as she did, because I do think that’s what make her face look so aged.

8) Carla

Speaking of aged, Carla looks hella old here. I want to say it’s the styling that made her look so aged, but Natasja and Amalie received the same exact hair style as her and worked it in their respective pictures, so I got to instead blame it on Carla’s face. I don’t think this is the first time that I’ve called Carla old-looking in her pictures, and if I did before, I don’t think I’ve ever made THIS big of a deal out of it. The reason why I’m making a somewhat big deal out of Carla looking old is because that’s the biggest problem about this picture. She doesn’t look youthful, she doesn’t look ~fresh~, she looks like someone’s grandmother, and therefore doesn’t look like a model. There’s other things wrong with this picture, though, including that weird ass pose. She looks like she’s dry-humping the guy or smth – it’s just weird. Similarly, Carla’s body (and face) does look relatively chubby here. While I wouldn’t call her fat, she still doesn’t really have a model’s body either. This picture is just.. unfortunate, though probably one of Carla’s best pictures on the show. Eeek.

9) Shenna

While I am giving my elimination vote to Shenna this week, I can’t say that I absolutely hate this picture, especially in comparison to some other people. It’s ewwie and disturbing to look at, though I have seen a lot worse.. in this season alone. My overall biggest problem with this picture of Shenna would probably be that she looks cannibalistic here. Like, there’s a cut up body behind her, and then there’s a speck of blood (or lipstick?) below her mouth. Not to mention she’s touching her face as though she’s trying to wipe off something on her face. My other problem with this picture would have to be that her body legit looks like a rectangle here. While that outfit does seem relatively difficult to model well, I would have at least liked to see Shenna’s figure in this dress, so that she looked a bit more womanly. Oh, also, Shenna’s face looks kinda really bad here, but it doesn’t bother me THAT much as there are far worse things about this picture than her face.

WEEK 3

To be honest, I partially don’t even understand why I’m continuing to update my blog. Like, I have essentially no time anymore, especially with class just starting and I kinda lost a bit of interest in doing so. Buttt, I am kinda in the mood right now to pump out an update, so why not. I guess my updates are just going to be even more spaciously apart than previously thought.. is that even possible? Lmao. Anyway, this was the third week of the fifth (second imo) season of Denmark’s Next Top Model. This shoot featured the models being splattered in paint, which is something we have seen on many NTM shows by now. Despite that, I do think this is one of the better paint-based shoots. It’s simplistic, and truly, I’m fine with how basic and simplistic the shoot is, because of how over-the-top the last two shoots were. As far as the eliminations went – there were two eliminations this week. One being someone who did terrible and definitely deserved to go, and the other being someone who was completely and utterly robbed. You’ll see who was robbed momentarily, because she is ranked pretty damn high in my ranking this week. With that being said, my FCO of the week is…

1) Zola (Eliminated)

This is one of the reasons why my interest in blogging about NTM shoots and ranking the girls in whichever cycles I decide to do has depleted: girls (and guys now), who have done exceptionally well in the shoot are eliminated and completely robbed of their places in their respective cycles. I’m sure everyone would agree that Zola WAS robbed; there’s no if, then, or buts about it, she was obviously robbed. This picture has so many qualities a lot of the other shots this week don’t have. For instance, life and emotion. Zola looks alive in this picture; she’s not just standing there attempting to model. She’s doing her work, posing interestingly, and creating a story within the picture. God, I probably sounded so much like Tyra Banks in that last sentence lmao. The only thing about this picture that I don’t like it how tiny Zola’s one arm appears here, and that’s only because of the angle. Her skin, the flowing of the dress, her legs, her face, how much her mouth is even opened, it’s all so perfect. Zola did such an amazing job this week, and it’s utter bullshit that she was eliminated over the likes of contestants like Shenna, Julie, Carla, and many more.

2) Amalie

So, Amalie got best photo of the week for this picture. You know, it’s kinda good hearing that the judges didn’t bomb this week completely and award someone who did terrible best photo, while eliminating the girl with the best picture, so I’m okay with Amalie winning best photo. In a fashion sense, and based off of which picture – between Zola and Amalie’s – has the fewest flaws, Amalie’s picture is better than Zola’s, I guess you could say. I just think Amalie’s picture is missing life and emotion, something Zola very much so has in her picture. I don’t think Amalie took that big of a risk with her pose or face either. She looks tall, modelesque, and beautiful, which definitely results in a high ranking, especially in a cycle like this one, but I still think Amalie could have done a little bit more with this shoot. Her face needs some improvements too; she needs to tilt down her chin, and I think her looking directly at the camera in this picture would have made it a more impactful photograph.

3) Johanna

Apparently it’s unpopular to like this picture? I suppose I could be wrong, but I see people creaming over Amalie and Zoe’s pictures and never mentioning Johanna’s. Sure, Amalie and Zoe did by far the best this week, but c’mon – this isn’t half bad either; it’s still a very solid picture. Normally, I’d be annoyed by a model’s hair hiding their neck like this, but for some reason, it works. Plus, I really like her expression. The shape of her head is truly the only thing that irks me above her shoulders, but that’s only a problem when looking at the close-up. Her body’s decent too. Nothing too amazing, though not at all bad. I like that you get the feel that she’s running from her pose. And also, the contrast between her caramel skin and the bold, yellow paint is really nice.

4) Natasja

Another dip in quality, and also, one of Natasja’s worst pictures on the show, for sure. Definitely the worst thing about this picture is how stiff every part of Natasja’s body is. Her legs, her torso, her arms, her neck. Even her expression appears kinda stiff, and I don’t even know if that’s possible. Without looking at her body, however, I really do love Natasja’s face. I like the inhale, the open mouth. Usually, when a model opens their mouth in a picture, it reads rather sexual, though it doesn’t look like that in this picture, it looks good. Her hair also looks great, and I think the hot pink was the perfect color for Natasja. Now, the complaints about this picture. Natasja’s locked knees and big thighs takes away so much of my love for this picture. If you were to crop out her legs, bam, second best picture of the week, probably. I’m not even that bothered by the stiffness of her arms and torso in this picture individually; however, when you look at this picture from head to toe, the stiffness of the rest of her body simply adds to the unpleasantness of Natasja’s tense and rather heavy-looking legs.

5) Shenna

Unlike almost all of the pictures, I’m ranking Shenna relatively high this week due to how interesting this picture is to look at. Sure, it has some flaws, but Shenna’s alive in this picture, she’s emoting an emotion; this picture is interesting to look at — FOR GOOD REASONS. My absolute favorite thing about this picture is obviously the emotion Shenna is conveying. I adore the fact she decided to make it appear like she’s screaming. At the same time, I’m kind of shocked it looks so realistic that she’s screaming, and that this doesn’t come off as bad acting; maybe Shenna could potentially have a career as an actress, because we sure as hell know she ain’t suited for modeling. Carry on~ I’m not too bothered that Shenna’s face can hardly be seen at this angle, because firstly, she doesn’t entirely have a strong, modelesque face. But even more so, the profile view of her face adds to the enjoyment I have for this picture – it helps the anger look more realistic; if she were screaming and looking up, but her face pointed towards the camera, I don’t think this picture would look as good. My only critique about this picture is that I would have preferred her entire body to be in profile view, just because her left leg is really irksome, and the twisting of her body towards the camera seems kinda odd.

6) Kimmi

This is definitely the only commercial picture of the week that’s done right. Kimmi has a very cutesy look and vibe to her, so I’m not entirely shocked this is her final picture, which does somewhat take a large portion of my interest to this picture. This is cute, she looks semi-decent. There’s not much to say about this picture. The one leg being up in the air like that does present somewhat of a problem, just because it looks like her leg is incredibly short. Aside from that, though, there’s really nothing bad about this picture. I’m not bored by this picture – because she is, at least, emoting some sort of feeling – but like I said, I’m not entirely intrigued by this picture, because this is what I expected Kimmi’s final shot to look like before I even looked at the pictures for this week, so sixth place is where Kimmi will stay this week.

7) Silvija

This is a very odd looking picture, but I gotta admit – I’m kind of intrigued. Silvija’s face in this picture is kind of jank, but I somewhat appreciate the expression she’s emoting. She looks shocked, tased, and possibly even high on grass, but I kind of dig it! It’s strange, really, because this truly has no good, fashionable qualities to it. But at the same time – I don’t think it has anything terrible to it. There’s very minimal paint being thrown onto her, so I don’t think she was placed at an unfair disadvantage (like another girl further down in this ranking), nor is she heinously disgusting to look at (like a few other girls further down in this ranking), so that’s why Silvija’s ultimately placed seventh this week: because she doesn’t suck at modeling. She’s mediocre, for sure, but not terrible, unlike half of the cast this season. So congrats on not being terrible, Silvija!

8) Nanna L.

This is probably the last “okay” picture of the week. Like Shenna, Nanna L. is emoting anger/frustration in this picture and I kind of like it. I just think she didn’t entirely commit to the character as much as she should have. Plus, her face is a tad bit too uncomfortable looking for my liking. Her body, just like her face, is kind of meh, too. I don’t care for how stiff her arms are, and I don’t like that she has her one knee lifted up. This isn’t at all a good picture, but I meannnn, it’s not as bad as what we have to come, so appreciate it for the time being.

9) Nanna S.

I don’t even think it’s fair to rank this picture alongside the other pictures this week. I mean, like, why isn’t Nanna S. covered in paint like the other girls this week? She’s the only one who isn’t covered with paint, and I find it completely unfair that this is her final picture. Ofc, I don’t know WHY Nanna isn’t covered in paint in this picture — maybe she has allergies to paint or smth? Lmao. Doubtful. Even though Nanna isn’t covered with paint, I still think this is a pretty bad picture. Her face and body don’t look too hot, and it looks like her foot is coming out of her ass. NEXT.

10) Julie

I don’t think this is that bad (especially in comparison to Carla and Sara’s pictures), but it’s clearly not an attractive picture of Julie’s. Her portfolio, in general, sucks, so I didn’t exactly expect more from Julie in this shoot. I would have preferred her to AT LEAST look at the camera instead of at something in the background, as there’s literally no connect between her and camera. Plus, I wish she didn’t look ~as manly~ as she does here, butttt that’s just her look, I guess, so that can’t be easily changed.

11) Carla

This is absolutely dreadful, but I mean, at least her face isn’t covered with paint, and I can somewhat make out her facial expression and features. She does look very ugly here, facially, but at least her face can be seen in this picture rather than Miss Sara’s. Whether that’s a good or bad thing, though, I don’t exactly know. Oh, also, that body is stiffly jank.

12) Sara (Eliminated)

This is a damn MESS. Obviously, this girl was sabotaged, which is unfortunate, but better her than someone who is actually good at modeling, ya know? I don’t disagree with this elimination whatsoever, just I wish they would have just let her flop at this shoot herself, without making it even more impossible for her to get a good picture by throwing the paint directly at her face.
