FINAL THOUGHTS

This season’s officially coming to an end. Overall, I gotta say – I did enjoy covering this season quite a bit. It wasn’t my all-time favorite season to cover, but I only ever got bored covering this season once. I do think this season was bit of a letdown from last season in terms of contestants and photoshoots, but all in all, I thought both the shoots and contestants were quite decent. The girls were a bit better than the guys, I think. In general, there were three standout contestants I would say: Marta and Osi, with them obviously being my top two. As well as there being standout contestants, there were also pretty awful contestants, like Karolina and Mateusz J. As for the photoshoots – the best shoots of the season for me would be the horse shoot and the editorials done by Marcin Tyszka. Truly the only photoshoot I hated was the Wild West shoot, so I will say the shoots were pretty decent in average. The elimination order was good and bad. I thought people like Marta and Osi deserved to make it as far as they made it, but I didn’t agree with people like Mateusz J. and Ola Z. making it to the top six. In general, this was just a decent season, and people calling this a bad season are just saying that, because they’re comparing it to the amazingness of last season.

1) Marta (2.5) 1/4/1/3/1/3/4/4/1/2/3

Portfolio of the season, easily. Marta was absolutely photogenic. That said, this promo picture of her is quite heinous in comparison to her stunning portfolio. Her looking so old here is the main reason why she wasn’t one of my pre-show favorites, to be completely honest. I didn’t even pay attention to her until around week three-ish, despite her getting high call-outs from me in both week one and two. I just didn’t really notice her. Come week three, I started to really love her. She was slowly becoming one of my favorites. Her looking like a more polished version of Kasia (ANTM 16) is also a huge reason why I really liked her. Her hair and face are both exceptionally unique looking to me. I also quite liked her body, as she was one of the taller ones of the season, plus her proportions were quite good too. The paleness of her skin was really the only thing about Marta that bothered me every once in a while, but considering how light her hair was post makeover week, I no longer cared for how pale she was. Yeah, so sure I like Osi more than Marta, but I’m not afraid to admit that Marta was robbed for the crown. She should have won, for she had the best portfolio of the season. At the end of the day, me favoring Osi’s look just a little bit more is what separated Marta from winning or losing this season for me.

2) Osi (2.7) 5/2/3/8/2/2/1/3/2/1/1

BAE. Love this girl A LOT, which I have said countless times before, but just wanted to say it one more time, just cuz. I was very pleased with Osi’s performance on the show. Not to sound racist or anything, but I think she’s one of the best models of African descent to have graced Top Model worldwide. There’s just something about her that I love so much. It’s probably her body, but I also loved her face too. Sure, her skin wasn’t the best, and photoshop truly was her best friend majority of the season, but makeup can really hide up anything. Plus, she can just moisturize a lot of something, I don’t know. Either way, she was definitely a top contender from the very start of the competition in my eyes. She certainly proved to be a top contender by around week five onward, as evident to me placing her in the top three every week after that. She only fell out of the top three two times, which is highly plausible to me. Her and Marta were neck and neck when it came to portfolio on the show, but ultimately I still do think Marta had the better portfolio; however, Osi seems more ready for international work, I think, and has a killer body, which are two of the many reasons I chose her over Marta as my winner. If she didn’t get eighth in week four, and maybe got fourth or something, I’m pretty sure Osi’s average would be higher than Marta’s, by the way. It was really only one performance of Osi’s that decided whether or not she’d be first place in the averages or not, I believe, and unfortunately she didn’t. That doesn’t really matter though, as she’s not going to get any special prize for being ranked first place in averages, unlike winning the season, which I absolutely agree with. I’m VERY happy for her. She deserved her so very much.

3) Michał B. (4.1) 3/1/5/7/5/4/6/6/3/3/2

…And the quality in modeling potential and modeling skill just dropped quite a bit. Yeah, I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of Michał B. His look just wasn’t my favorite. I much rather prefer “prettier boys” to him, like Mateusz M. and Adam look-wise, but I gotta admit that Michał did prove me wrong by delivering many strong pictures. His two strongest pictures for me were the two he took in the first two weeks of the competition though, which isn’t very good, because it shows that his portfolio got worse and worse as time went by for me. His best performance was in week two definitely, in my opinion, but after that he didn’t deliver anything as good as that. His face was a letdown as I’ve said plenty of times, as he continuously had a Sid resemblance to me, but I really liked his body. I mean, it’s not the most modelesque body ever, but you always gotta love a little bit of muscle. Like who doesn’t? I do think he needs to tone it down on his arms a little bit, though I fear that him losing weight will make it so his face gets skinnier, and he already has a skinny face as is, so I guess him being more muscular is better. I just think he’s one of those contestants that I simply don’t care for in terms of look, no matter what he does with his person. Yeah, I think I’d bring him to top four, not top three, because Ewelina delivered stronger pictures, no matter how inconsistent she was.

4) Ewelina (4.5) 12/3/2/1/8/6/2/2

Oh, another not-so-good promo shot. I don’t know what’s with these promo shots this year, but this is just not attractive – and we’re still at the good contestants, so I wonder how much more unattractive the less photogenic models will look. Anywho – I don’t like this promo shot mostly because Ewelina looks old here, which I have commented on plenty times before; Ewelina does look aged in her pictures ever now and then. That’s not a good quality to have, of course, as models are supposed to look youthful and such, but I do think Ewelina looked her age in majority of her pictures, which is why she’s ranked fourth overall in averages, as opposed to last. Having said all that, Ewelina’s look wasn’t my favorite; come to think of it, I think Ewelina had one of my least favorite looks of the season. Either way, she was photogenic as hell, and usually always turned it out. I gave her five top three call-outs, which is quite good. Her performance in week one, as well as her picture during Wild West week are what brought her average down by so much, which is quite sad, as majority of her stay, she was up there with Osi and Marta. Thus meaning, I’d bring her to the top three, as I do find her better than Michał B. Sorry to say.

5) Michalina (5.2) 7/5/6/6/6/5/3/5/4

Aw, Michalina. I love this girl. I really do. I know I didn’t show very much love for her while recapping each individual week, but I always secretly wanted her to do well. Unfortunately, she didn’t do as well as I wished she did, as majority of the weeks she was in the competition, she was in the middle of the pack. Yeah, her portfolio was quite mediocre for the most part, but despite being in the middle basically every week, I still would have taken her as far as she went on the show. She just had so much potential, in my eyes. Her eyes are an absolute dream, and are definitely her best feature. I absolutely loved the contrast between her black hair and blue eyes in a large portion of her pictures. Her face was just amazing. Her body, though, not so much. She did improve her body massively, I think, post-show.. but I didn’t think her proportions looked very good on the show. Maybe it’s just one or two unfortunate pictures that I’m basing this opinion on, but I just never thought she had a very good body. Either way, she’s gorgeous, and goes to where she went on the show for me.

6) Misza (5.8) 8/7/4/4/4/8

LOVE this promo shot. Pretty sure this picture is why so many people viewed Misza as her pre-show favorite, because going back, she wasn’t the most loved contestant, as she was just so unmemorable. Yeah, that was probably my biggest problem with Misza – she never stood out. She was very far from being versatile, and her one look that she showed in many of her photos was simply not that interesting. She’s still a great girl either way, but her face lacked editorial appeal, and I can truly only see her in the commercial market (in the modeling industry). Oh, and she didn’t have an amazing standout body to make up for her commercial face.. So, get that commercial modeling money, girl, I guess, hahah.

7) Karolina (6.0) 6

Ew. Burn it with fire. Karolina was, just, gross. I don’t know what else to say about her. In every picture I saw of her, she looked old, and in motion, she wasn’t the prettiest flower in the garden. Her first picture of the competition was EASILY a fluke, and this picture kinda makes that obvious, because this is just nasty. Her face didn’t appeal to me in any way possible, plus her haircut is gross here. Yeah, but I don’t even know. I’m kinda upset that this whole average system made it so Karolina ended up in seventh place overall, as she certainly had the weakest look of the season. So yeah, either second or third out for me, cuz she did relatively well in the first photoshoot.

8) Ola G. (6.0) 2/9/7

Love this girl. Good God, I was so upset when she was eliminated in week three. She was my personal fave since the very start, and I was stanning for her all the way up to her elimination. Her time in the competition was certainly short lived, and she DID deserve to say longer, like JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE. Flawless. Sure, her face was a lil bit chubby in some pictures, and she didn’t have the best body ever, but with a little bit toning up, she could be major. I could see an international career for her, honestly, if she was really devoted to this modeling thing. I fear that her lack of confidence would have hindered her in the long run, however, so I’ll take her to the top six, and eliminate her with Michalina.

9) Ola Ż. (6.1) 13/8/9/9/3/1/5/1

Who’s aunt is this? Lmao, I’m just kidding, but damn – Ola looks ugly, old, and trashy in this picture. Okay, so as many of you guys have probably realized, I’m not the biggest fan of Ola. Her personality irked the crap out of me, and she was so awful in the first four weeks of the competition. But, by week five, she took a 180, and started to deliver AMAZING pictures. Personally, if she would have took pictures as stunning as she did in week five to seven since the very beginning, I could definitely see myself stanning for this girl 100 percent, even if her personality wasn’t my cup of tea. Her elimination to me did come out of no where, and I hate it when girls (or guys) are eliminated outside of the panel.. for challenge purposes, or whatever — I don’t know, just I find it unfair. I would have preferred if they had a double elimination at panel instead. I suppose that doesn’t really matter for me, though, because I would have eliminated Ola in week one, simply because she would have landed in the bottom two with Ewelina, and I like Ewelina a lot more than Ola Ż.

10) Adam (6.5) 4/6/11/5

Drooling because of this picture. Adam is like the prettiest boy I’ve ever seen. He’s not the most muscular, or the most manly, but his look is delight. He did have my favorite look of the guys this season, to be honest (EDIT: oops, forgot about Mateusz M.). He unfortunately didn’t deliver as well as I thought he would have prior to the show starting. I just wish he looked like he does in this promo in every single picture he took, but don’t get me wrong, he still showed a bit of potential in his pictures, and I think with a little bit of age, he could be amazing. He kinda reminds me of Francisco Lachowski, and if you know me, I LOVE Francisco. I’d either bring Adam to the top seven or eight; probably top seven, because I prefer him over Misza, look-wise.

11) Mateusz J. (7.2) 10/11/10/2/9/7/7/7/5/4

Which way are Mateusz J.’s eyes going in this picture. Lol. Alright, anyway, I couldn’t stand Mateusz J. I couldn’t stand his look. He is pretty handsome, like I’ve said plenty of times, but he’s not a model. He’s just a really good looking guy, and there’s no more to it. None of his features ~WHATSOEVER~ are unique, and to become a Top Model, you need to have an interesting look, yet he just didn’t have that. To be fair, how did he even become part of this cast? His look is just so underwhelming, and if you’ve seen the semi-finalists (who didn’t make it into the house), you too would have asked how he was even casted. OH WAIT – I know why, because the host’s OBSESSION for this kid. I don’t know, I didn’t get what she saw in him, but she – her solely (of the entire judging panel) – made is so he’d get to the final four, so good for him. Congrats buddy, you were liked by one person.

12) Mateusz M. (8.8) 9/10/8/10/7

This Mateusz, on the other hand, is so perfect. His face is just structured so perfectly. His cheekbones, jawline, hair, ugh – his look is a dream, to be honest. He could rule the fashion industry with a look like that, but unfortunately, she hardly impressed me all season. The judges did give him plenty chances in the competition, but her never found his redemption arc, and while watching the show, I was just waiting for him to be eliminated, because it constantly seemed like his time. With that being said, I do agree with him being eliminated in week five. Post-show, this boy is delivering so damn well though. I don’t know whether it was sabotage on the production’s behalf, or if the stress just got to him, or if it was the bullying he received in the house that didn’t allow for him to do as well as he should have – he just wasn’t what many of his fans were expecting him to be on the show.

13) Michał K. (11.5) 11/12

I don’t know what to say about this guy, to be fair, but I liked him. Although he’s dead last as far as averages go, I really liked him. His look is nice; he had one of the more fashionable looks, but he just didn’t deliver. He has that same snarl-pissed expression in every single picture of his on the show (even here he does). I think he needs to lose a little weight too, because he looks a tad bit too buff. If he fixed his expressions, and toned his body up some, I think this could would be loved by many, and he certainly would not have gone second. As far as his elimination goes, I’d eliminate him third or fourth.

WEEK 10

Last week of the competition! Finally – wow, it took a lot longer to cover this season than wanted. First of all, can I just say this final three was pretty amazing. I probably would have traded Michał B. for Ewelina, if I’m being completely honest, but this final three is quite great nonetheless. Having said that, the winner was also crowned this week, obviously. The winner being Osi, with Michał B. being the runner-up, and Marta as the second runner-up. Kinda upset we couldn’t see an Osi-Marta final two, but between the three, I do think the best model won anyway, so it’s not like it matters who got runner-up then. As for this final photoshoot – I like it. Not that much, as I do think the photography and stylings (Osi’s, specifically) could have been a lot better. Because of the photography and stylings, I don’t really care for any of these covers all too much. The best cover isn’t outstanding, though the worst cover isn’t too shabby either. I guess that’s what happens when you have a poor photoshoot, yet excellent remaining models. I’ll speak more of the season as a whole in the recap post.

1) Osi (Winner)

Fave PoNTM winner. Love this girl so much, my winner since day 1; so glad she pulled out the win. I’m not gonna waste your time and write a paragraph on how glad I am that this girl won, so let’s continue on to this cover… I like it. Not anything breathtaking; I definitely think Osi did a lot better on set, but considering the final results, this isn’t that bad. Her face is beautiful here, obviously. Gorg cheekbones, full lips, decent skin – truly you can’t ask more for her face. The blue eye shadow isn’t a very attractive color against her skin tone though, and her hair has been styled better before. That blue plastic looking outfit is by far my least favorite thing about her styling, however. Like, her pose is quite great; love the confidence in it, but WHY THAT OUTFIT. It’s gross. On set, she modeled two other outfits, I believe, and both were a thousand times better, and then they pick this picture? Okay, bye. Muh, I guess it doesn’t really matter, considering she still pulled out the win, but I would have liked to see her absolutely slay this final photoshoot.

2) Michał B. (Runner-Up)

Basically everybody ranks this picture first, but I really don’t see why. Not saying this picture of Michał is awful, it’s actually his best picture in some weeks, just I don’t get what’s so amazing about this, other than maybe Michał’s God-like body. Yeah, I’ll give him that – his body looks fab here; a lil bit muscular as always, but nonetheless, fab. His styling is also my favorite of the week. And although his pose is a bit catalogue, that too is quite good. Unlike his body though, I can’t stand Michał’s face here. It’s not Sid-like – it would have been iconic if he looked like Sid on his cover – just he looks OLD. Very old. About 40-ish. I guess that’s not that old, but he’s like 20 something, so he shouldn’t be looking like a 40 year old. It’s obv the lighting, but it looks like he’s starting to get some gray hairs on his head, and the creases in his face look more defined than ever, making his face look wrinkled. I really can’t point out a single thing I like about Michał’s face in this picture, to be completely honest.

3) Marta (Eliminated)

If anyone was supposed to SLAY in this photoshoot, it was supposed to be Marta. Marta was obviously sabotaged, having said that, because this is her first time delivering an average picture in the whole 10 weeks we’ve had in this competition. I definitely think Marta had a better picture than this, but I have to base my rankings off of what I see, and not what I wish to be true, so that’s why I ranked Marta last. Her picture this week is about half as good as Michał’s and Osi’s for me. The whole feel about this picture is rather whore-ish. The dark makeup, the smirk, the way she’s sitting with her legs kinda open. It all just screams HOOKER, and I’m not loving that all too much; I actually kinda hate it. I suppose she still looks pretty and all, as she is a very pretty girl, but I’m not getting anything amazing from this picture, that I do with basically every other picture of her. Nevertheless, this girly certainly deserved to be runner-up, instead of third, or possibly the winner, actually – I wouldn’t have been mad at all if she won instead of Osi, even if this cover doesn’t give justice to her.

WEEK 9

We’re so close to the season being finally over! Kinda sad, but I really hate dragging seasons on for as long as possible, like with what I did with this season. Majority of the reason, because of me not having enough time to update, but either way – definitely ready to get this season done with! Anyway, the four remaining models had a motion-themed editorial shoot in Lisbon, Portugal. Sounds pretty awesome, considering Lisbon is quite an interesting city… Wrong! This shoot sucked. Not at all a final four worthy shoot. Only one person blew me away, and even then, they didn’t follow the motion theme. To be honest, I’m not really basing my ranking this week on who followed the theme the best, as if this were a motion shoot, they’d choose a picture for ALL of the models, in motion as their best pictures. Hopefully, that made sense. Because of two models “not following the theme” or whatever, they landed in the bottom two, and EASILY the weaker of the two was eliminated. This elimination was amazing. Hella amazing. So freaking glad he’s gone.

1) Osi

Yeah, so Osi was one of the two people this week who “didn’t follow the theme.” I mean, I’m sure, if she was told this was a motion shoot, that she’d be moving around and crap, so that’s why I’m quoting that, as that’s what the judges basically said. Even if this doesn’t follow the theme, I love this. Osi looks outrageously beautiful here. She easily looks the best of the week for me. Her face is flawfree. Lips, skin, eyes, nose – all on point. Her hair looks more so on the ratchet side than anything else, same with her outfit, but I of course blame styling for making her look like an Italian slut. Speaking of her outfit though, she wears that either long shirt or very short dress exceptionally well. Love the way the dress – I’m just going to call it a dress – shapes her body. The holes in the dress are definitely a bit whore-ish, but Osi gives justice to that disgusting outfit, honestly. The all-round feel of this picture could be boring, I do understand why one would say that, but Osi did an amazing job this week, in my opinion, so first is where she shall remain.

2) Marta

If we were basing this off of who followed the theme best, then Marta would have easily gotten first call-out from me, but I’m just not feeling this picture on the whole. Sure, Marta’s body looks absolutely amazing here. Long legs, lean, tall, but her face – or head, in general – is an absolute disaster. Her body looks lively as hell, for sure, but her face makes it seem like she’s a rotting corpse or something. I don’t see any expression in Marta’s face whatsoever. There’s stellar bone structure, but that’s about it when it comes to her face. Also, I said “head” and not just face, because Marta’s hair looks awful here. I guess it adds to the whole motion thing, but I find it unattractive either way. The hair kinda makes it seem like she’s a female version of Albert Einstein (I obviously don’t know who else to compare her to, lol) or something. I was obviously expecting much more from this girl other than this. Biggest disappointment of the week, definitely.

3) Michał B.

Another motion picture, but sooooo boring. God, I love how Osi was standing still in her picture, yet Michał and Marta both are moving in their respective pictures, but at the same time, Osi’s picture has more life in it. Sorry to say, though I have said this before, but Michał just doesn’t look like a model here. His look isn’t my cup of tea, which is another thing I’m quoting from my past comments, but I really mean it. I don’t like how dull his expression is, and his pose is very robotic. Truly the best thing about this picture is how tall Michał looks here. That, and I guess he’s modeling the shoes well. I don’t know what he’s doing with his arms or legs, but I don’t like them. If he’s walking, then that’s a really strange way of walking, and if he’s snapping or something with his hands, that too is quite odd. I really love that jacket he’s wearing, if that’s any consolation.

4) Mateusz J. (Eliminated)

PRAISE JESUS! HE’S FINALLY GONE. Literally, it took how many weeks to get rid of this guy? I gotta give it to him, he delivered a rather decent picture in his final week of the competition. I could honestly see this as a Colgate ad. His teeth look great! Easily the most commercial picture of the competition, proving my point that Mateusz would be great for commercial work, NOT high-end editorial work. Yeah, his smile is really the only thing I like about this picture. I don’t like his arm and hand placements, as well as the way he’s pulling the hat down onto his face like that. Oh, and to prove my point of how stupid the whole motion theme was this week, why is this picture a close-up? Like really. Meh, either way, glad this dude is finally gone. Not at all a model, this picture proves it, I think, and yeah. Have nothing more to say about Mateusz J.

Another pretty strong photoshoot. Personally, I don’t like it as much as most people, I don’t think, but I mean, it’s still pretty great. The funeral-like concept isn’t something I’ve seen very often in NTM photoshoots, so that alone makes me really like this. I liked that the setting changes between all of the pictures too, and the stylings this week are quite amazing. The overall execution this week was a tad bit of a letdown, I would say, but the top two of my call-out order did exceptionally amazing, with the other three photos of this week being less than impressive. Yup, so five pictures altogether this week, as Ola was eliminated outside of the panel. Kinda upset about that, because she was improving SO MUCH, but she never even deserved to make it this far. I’m more upset with the actual elimination this week, I think. She deserved to go, I guess, but I thought another person should have taken her place. In other words, she wasn’t the weakest, so she didn’t deserve to go for that, but if I controlled who was eliminated every week, then would I consider her elimination justifiable.

1) Marta

YAAAAS. Slay me over and over again. This picture is flawless. Absolutely flawless. Just when I thought Marta was starting to go average on me for a brief second there last week, and then she delivers this, and I couldn’t be any happier. I just love how different she looks in this picture, yet she still looks so damn beautiful. She could honestly look amazing with any possible expression in any possible angle. The whole pissy mood thing is amazing. Works perfectly for the given brief. Well, I mean, I would kinda think of sadness before anger at a funeral, but I suppose they’re close enough, and I guess I could see how someone could be angry if someone passed away. Love, love, love the dark makeup and Marta’s pale complexion together. Plus, her blue eyes pop so much here, and I simply love blue eyes, so that’s a positive thing. Really, really love the black and yellow in this picture too, and how they contrast one another. Yeah, Marta did a hella great job. Proud of her.

2) Osi

Osi also delivered a very solid picture this week. Not nearly as good as Marta’s, I don’t think, but certainly pretty good. A bit bland as well, but I still like this. I firstly really love this picture, because Osi is hardly ever in full profile – her face is usually front on in pictures – and she honestly looks amazing. Her nose doesn’t look big, like I thought it would have, and her cheekbones and jawline both look relatively nice too. I love the purple lips as well, and if you’ve ever watched The Face US, I’m sure you would too. The floral decoration on Osi’s head here is also quite pretty, and I like it, but I could have gone without all those piercings in her ears. I personally don’t like it when girls (or guys) get basically every part of their ears pierced, because it reads try hard to me, but I’m not sure why, honestly. I’m getting rather side tracked here, because it’s five in the morning as I’m typing, but what I was saying is that this picture is really nice. Osi delivered, as always.

3) Michał B.

Blah, now we get to the average pictures. Yeah, don’t really care for this picture. Personally, Marta and Osi both hit it out the park, while everyone else just took okay pictures. Kinda expected this to happen, but now that I’m living it, I’m kinda snoozing here. Okay, well, I gotta admit, when I first saw this picture, I didn’t think it looked like Michał, I thought it was someone else, and honestly, this still doesn’t look like Michał to me, and personally, I’m intrigued by that. I’m intrigued that he’s able to look completely different from how he usually looks. His face looks hot here, but his head looks so damn small. Maybe that’s why this doesn’t look like Michał (because his head looks smaller than it usually does), but at the same time, I’m not that sure. His body, just like his face, is completely hot. He looks model-y, for once. Like, he doesn’t look that buff here, and I’m glad about that. His pose is a bit more on the catalogue side though, but I’m not complaining that much. He still looks relatively good, but he still hasn’t topped his performance in week two.

4) Michalina (Eliminated)

These last two pictures aren’t giving anything for me, but I gotta say, I’m gonna miss Michalina. Sure, majority of her portfolio was quite average, and this is actually exactly where I would have cut her as well, but either way it’s gonna be kinda hard to see her go. As far as this picture goes – yeah, don’t really care for this that much. These last two pictures are boring in their own rights, but I’m a little bit more intrigued with Michalina’s picture this week, as she simply looks different here. Her face looks a lot skinnier than it usually looks, and that alone interests me a lot, because I’m all about versatility. Her eyes are dead, and that dark makeup is seriously disastrous, but I like her face a little bit in this picture. Her body, however, is boring and uninspiring. She’s standing there, holding the shirt or coat she’s wearing. Whatever it is, it’s boring, and is easily the worst thing about this picture, I believe. Nevertheless, Michalina shouldn’t have been eliminated over…

5) Mateusz J.

Snoozing forever and always. Usually Mateusz J. gets my elimination vote, but looks hot yet not modelesque in his pictures, but I honestly don’t even think he looks hot here. All I see is a catalogue model, which isn’t a good thing given that this is supposed to be an editorial. His pose here is certainly boring in every sort of the way. The only positive I have for his body is that he looks tall, but seeing as he’s 6’4 it’s probably really hard for him to look even remotely short anyway, so that’s not really a complement. I don’t really care for Mateusz’s face either. He’s doing that same “I’m hot so what” face, and it’s truly getting really old. This time around, I don’t even think his face looks remotely hot either; I actually think he looks a tad bit constipated in the face. His eyes are uneven and disconnected from the camera, and the tilt of his head isn’t cute. Just meh… God, can this kid be eliminated already? I’m sick and tired of him sticking around, because the 40-year-old host has some sort of sick fetish for his ugliness.

WEEK 7

The second of the two photoshoots this week. As I stated in the post prior to this one, I really like this shoot, though not nearly as much as the other one this week. It’s good, and is another studio shoot like the one before, but I don’t think the photography is as advanced looking as the one done by Marcin, and I personally don’t care for group shoots that much. As well as that, I don’t think the execution was as strong as it could’ve been. There are some strong pictures, namely the top three, but the execution was far from the greatness of the shoot done by Marcin. There aren’t very many bad pictures from this shoot though, I will say. I think I can only call one of these shots bad, but even then, it isn’t like the worst thing ever. Majority of these pictures are quite bland, however. Oh, and Ewelina did great on this shoot too; ugh, such bullshit that she was eliminated. I will never get over that, honestly.

1) Ola Ż.

Another pretty flawless performance from Ola. I’m seriously lost for words that Ola was able to basically take a 180 from the first four weeks of the competition. It’s kinda funny how she’s either delivered awful pictures or really beautiful pictures in this competition. I mean, I think it’s more so her improving than being inconsistent, but either way – she’s had four bad performances on the show, as well as four good performances. This picture is Ola’s last picture on the show, by the way, as she will be eliminated outside of the panel the week following this one. I am glad that Ola ended on a high note, however. Her being eliminated next week is sort of a bitter sweet moment, because she’s been doing so well recently. Anyway – this picture is both delicate and subtle, sorta like her picture last week, and I love every ounce of it. I love how she’s touching Bar’s shoulder so gentle like, and I also really love how in sync the two of their postures are. As for Ola’s face – complete perfection. Love the color of her complexion, love her cheekbones, eyes, nose; it’s all just so perfect.

2) Ewelina (Eliminated)

Yeah, so Ewelina pretty much performed either the first or second overall best of the week, and she was eliminated? I really don’t know how else to describe this elimination other than it being completely and utterly random. Simply her elimination was so out of the blue. The only thing I don’t like about this picture is Ewelina’s snarl. That’s it. Everything else is perfect or super close to perfect. She looks totally comfortable holding onto Bar Refaeli like that; her pose just works. I think she probably has the best pose between all these pictures, frankly. But going back to her face – I do think she needs to work on that snarl a little. I don’t think the snarl makes her look very bad, just I think she could have gone without it. As always, however, her jawline and cheekbones are perfect. Her eyes, too, look amazing. Yeah, just a bs elimination. I’m not going to get over this one. She deserved to go to either the top three or four.

3) Osi

Osi got first call-out this week, and while I do agree with her getting it 100 percent, I don’t understand why some others think it was undeserved. Her pictures for Marcin were certainly amazing, and I do think a lot of people agree with me on that, but this picture is also quite nice. I could kinda see the whole fake smile thing, but I still think Osi looks both elegant and modelesque here. You really can’t ask for more than that, honestly. I actually really love her smile, if I’m being completely honest. The way her teeth shape her lips is intriguing and different, yet cool looking. Her skin and hair both look great too, as do her eyes. Her body promotes more problems for me than her face though. Not bad at all, but knowing Osi is like 5’11 or 6’0, I’m kinda confused as to why Bar and her look the same height, and Bar is three to four inches shorter than her! Like, it’s probably my OCD, but that really bothers me. I don’t think Osi’s wearing flats either. That dress, while pretty, makes her look kinda stubby, and I think had she looked taller than Bar in this picture, then this would have been better overall.

4) Marta

Another pretty decent job done by Marta, but I’m once more disappointed. She can look so much better than this, I know she can; she usually always does. The only things that even remotely bother me in this picture are Marta’s pose and her face. Her nose and mouth both look way too small for her face. Her nose does bother me more than her mouth though, to be honest. Just the shape of it looks so off to me. Her eyes, eyebrows, forehead, hair, jawline, and cheekbones all look really stellar though. As for the pose – yeah, not digging that whole hugging thing with Bar. It just makes Bar look as if she were Marta’s mother or partner, which I don’t really care for. Their complexions do look pretty nice up against one another’s, however, but that’s basically the only positive that comes out of that pose, at least that’s what I think.

5) Michalina

I suppose Michalina is back to her average performances. Not impressed whatsoever with this picture. Her body and face both look kinda messy, but considering I ranked this third to last, and not dead last, that obviously means I do think there are still some positives about this picture. The top half of her body looks really nice to me. The lower half of her body, though, isn’t very pleasing looking. She has a nice body, certainly, all these girls and guys do, but her hips look far to big here, especially for a female model. Her calves as well look too big to me, probably because she’s standing next to Bar, who is truly as skinny as a twig. Just like her body, her pose disappoints me. She can do so much better, she truly can! Her face is easily the redeeming quality about this picture, though I don’t exactly care for how long her face looks, once again, I’m probably saying that, because the shape of Bar’s face is honestly perfect. Either way, I think she could have done without the semi-opened mouth. Cheekbones, jawline, eyes, and hair are, as always, perfect, however.

6) Michał B.

Aw, this is cute. Honestly, if Bar didn’t look that adorable and like perfect, and if this whole picture wasn’t as romantic looking, I really do think I would have given Michał my elimination vote for this week. Well, I mean, I probably still would have viewed Mateusz’s picture as being worse, but I doubt I would have that much. I said that if Bar didn’t have that romantic sort of aura coming from her, that I would have ranked this last, because Michał simply looks awkward and uncomfortable here. He’s just standing there, doing absolutely nothing, yet his expression reeks of uncomfortability, and while that is somewhat cute, it’s also not very model-y. He just looks caught off guard or something; I really don’t know how else to explain it. He’s not playing off Bar whatsoever, and she definitely steals majority of my attention in this picture. This is a very good example of how male models are usually used as accessories in pictures.

7) Mateusz J.

Incapable of improving, here’s Mateusz! Probably the only picture this week that I don’t like. Not absolutely terrible, like I said before, but I can’t really find any positives about Mateusz’s performance in this shoot. I’m going to come out and just say it – Mateusz looks like an absolute creep in this picture to me. Like, Bar looks beautiful as hell, but Mateusz’s face reeks of pervert-ness. I know that’s mean to say, and I’m sure Mateusz is nice to his women, but I call it as I see it. Yeah, he has that same face as he did in his other two pictures from the Marcin shoot, just this time it looks forty times more unappealing. It also looks like he’s balding on the top of his head in some areas, which doesn’t help my distaste for this picture any. Every single thing about his body, also, isn’t good. He looks totally awkward, and that outfit just isn’t attractive. That coat or jacket or whatever that is makes his torso look insanely long, and also shortens his legs quite a bit. Yeah, not something I would consider to be very good looking.

WEEK 7

The first and only double photoshoot week of the season! I’ve gotta admit – I’m pretty excited about this week. I honestly really love both of the photoshoots this week. I do believe there was little versatility between the two shoots, however, because they both are studio shoots. Regardless, I still do like both of the shoots, especially the first one, the challenge photoshoot; in other terms, this photoshoot! Love it so much. The photographer, Marcin Tyszka, is truly very good at his job, and I do think that his photography skills are the main reasons why basically everyone delivered solid performances. Speaking of which, best overall execution so far! I don’t hate a single one of these shots, and that’s probably the first time I’ve said that in so long. Despite having not just one, but two awesome photoshoots this week, I’m highly displeased with the elimination. I think the elimination was probably the most random elimination to date. I thought all three of her shots were great this week, and not at all elimination worthy. This was actually one of her better weeks too. If only the elimination was amazing, then I would’ve probably considered this the best week I’ve ever covered between every NTM cycle I have done.

1) Osi


‘Bout damn time this girl received a first call-out from me! After getting second place three times, I’m glad Osi finally snatched a first call-out from me. Both of these pictures are absolutely superb, and I find both of these photos completely flawless. She delivered perfection in both of these picture, I think. Her skin is looking on point as usual (thanks mainly to photoshop). Her hair also looks really nice, albeit her hairline looks a bit strange, especially in the first picture. Her hairline is truthfully the only thing I can negatively comment on between these two photos, and it’s not that she has an ugly hairline, like it’s receding or anything, just it looks a bit odd to me. As for the rest of Osi here – absolutely breathtaking. Love, love, love her face in both of these pictures. Her face is oozing sex appeal and amazingness, especially in the second picture. Personally, I think I love the second one more, because you can see Osi’s beautiful and modelesque body. Oh, and those lips and her eyes are just all sorts of epic. Love this girl so much, need I say that once more?

2) Ewelina (Eliminated)


Yeah, complete and utter bullshit elimination. I love both of these shots a lot. Not as much as Osi’s pictures, obviously, but they’re still both really good. My personal favorite between the two pictures is the first one, because her COLLARBONES are amazing, but also because her face is simply memorizing. Ewelina’s cheekbones and jawline both look flawfree. Her eyes also having that touch of blue in them makes me love this picture even more. Probably could’ve gone without the semi-opened mouth, but either way, the first picture, or the close-up, is amazing. I think the second picture is also fairly good, but I do find less standout qualities about it. There’s nothing that bad about it either, just I simply find Ewelina aged in the second picture. Not as old as last week, I don’t think, but certainly not as youthful as I would have liked her to appear. I don’t think her face is the only thing that looks aged in the second picture, but also her boobs looking a little bit saggier than they should also isn’t very attractive. Nevertheless, I do think Ewelina looks absolutely beautiful between both of these pictures, and her body is kickass despite having a lil bit sagage to her breasts. Given that, complete bs that this girl was eliminated.

3) Michalina


Looky here, someone’s finally stepping up their game! Super happy Michalina actually stood out a bit more this week, because I was kinda about to write her off for taking average photos, despite me knowing her true potential. I’m highly aware that the whole blank stare sorta thing isn’t for everyone, but I just love Michalina’s close-up shot this week. Her eyes pop so freaking much, and I adore every ounce of them. Probably the only thing I don’t like in the first picture is the wet hair. I know it’s only wet from what I assume to be water, but it looks kinda oily and greasy to me, which isn’t very pleasing. The first picture is still absolutely killer to me, nevertheless. Unlike the first picture, though, I don’t really care for the second one. Her body obviously looks banging, but I could care less about her face. She still looks relatively nice, and I would still consider her absolutely beautiful, but I don’t think that’s one of her better angles. I prefer her front on. Either way, she definitely improved this time around!

4) Marta


This has gotta be the most average performance Marta has performed to date. Not bad at all, of course, I don’t think Marta is capable of taking a subpar image, but I was sorta expecting more from her. I can’t really find anything wrong between either of these pictures, except for one thing: the fact that her face basically looks identical in both of these pictures. She’s giving the same wide-eyed, pissed off expression with a snarl in both of these photos, and it’s a bit one note and boring. She has given much versatility in the past, so I kinda question why these pictures look so similar. It’s like they snapped both of these pictures right after one another or something. Anywho – Marta does look reasonably good in these two pictures. Her hair looks awesome, love the messy kind of styling to it, as well as the blue sweater, and how the blueness of the sweater makes the color of her eyes pop so much. The contrast between her Casper complexion and the blue sweater is so perfect and magical. Marcin Tyszka is honestly such a talented photographer for being able to capture colors so vividly.

5) Ola Ż


Wow, it’s been three weeks now, and Ola’s been delivering consistently strong pictures. Super shocked by that, but happy for her, regardless of my thoughts on her poor personality. First of all, I honestly don’t think Ola deserves to be ranked this far down. I really don’t think she should be placed in the bottom three for these two pictures, but when so many people deliver stellar performances, I suppose this is what happens. Secondly, I wanna applaud Ola for having such versatility between her two pictures this week. She looks like two different people; I do prefer her first picture to the second, but either way, her face looks nice in both. I don’t think she pulls off the blank stare as nice as Michalina though, if I were to be completely honest. It looks nice and all, I guess, but she looks a bit psychotic, which is never attractive. Plus, her pose in the second picture is a bit too motherly for me. But going back to the first picture – the lightness in Ola’s face is really beautiful, and I never truly thought she’d be able to look that refined and elegant. Love the shape of her face a lot in that picture. The amount of defiance in her jawline is stunning. Absolutely lovely.

6) Michał B.


I feel like ever since week two Michał has just been fading away. I wish I was wrong, and that he’d go back to being in the top three, but I highly doubt I’ll be ranking him high up in future weeks. Okay, now having said that, I really do not care for how sloth-y Michał looks in that first picture. He still looks hot, I suppose, but the extension of his neck is not very good looking. Plus, I don’t care for the wide eyes whatsoever. The small smirk is cute though, I will admit. His body looks good once more, but I don’t like how he’s trying to cover himself up, because his body is easily the best thing about him. Having said that, holy bajesus – that second picture of his is so hot, I can’t even. Never thought I’d call Michał hot, but I suppose everyone can take a lucky picture every now and then. The nip slip is yaaas, and the cool guy expression is really hot. Not very modelesque, but certainly hot af. The fact he’s making that expression while wearing something that looks as if it was knitted by a grandma is highly laughable to me too. Yeah, pretty solid second picture; now all Michał has to work on is retaining that consistently.

7) Mateusz J.


I’m probably not the only one who’s thinking this way right now, but I too feel a bit biased for ranking Mateusz last. This is easily, EASILY one of his best performances on the show, and I basically just neglected all the positives about these pictures by giving him an elimination vote. At the end of the day, getting seventh isn’t going to help his average very much. Just like Marta, I don’t think Mateusz gave very much versatility between these two pictures. His face looks pretty much the same to me in both of these photos, just in different angles. The tilt of his head isn’t the most attractive angle on his face either, I don’t think. I still do think he looks handsome and a bit hot. Well, as hot as you can possibly look in a turtleneck, haha. Yeah, I could’ve gone without the turtleneck. I don’t know if it’s just me, but turtlenecks are gross as hell, and his nipples showing through the shirt isn’t very appealing. He simply doesn’t have the body to pull off a shirt this tight. I will acknowledge, however, that he does fit those jeans quite nicely.

WEEK 6

This is probably my favorite week of the competition thus far! Both the photoshoot and elimination were fairly reasonable. As always, photoshoot first. I’m really a sucker for fashion photoshoots that involve animals, so I think that’s the main reason I like this shoot so much, but as well as that, I really like the photography. The lighting was nice, and I think majority of the girls and guys delivered. I really only dislike two picture, those two pictures being of those who were placed in the bottom two, meaning I thought the overall call-out order this week was quite great! Going back to the bottom two of this week – I thought the wrong person was eliminated between the two. The individual who was eliminated was starting to improve, I think, and despite her (or his, not spoiling the gender from here on out) look being more on the bland and/or boring side, I do think (s)he would have performed well had (s)he remained in the competition. Eh – far from the worst elimination, but it could have been better.

1) Ola Ż.

Ola being third place last week was a HUGE shocker, but I bet you didn’t see this one coming! Love, love, love this picture. Easily my favorite picture of the week. I personally am not sure what I love so much about this picture. Actually, come to think of it, me not exactly knowing what I love so much about this picture is probably what I love so much about it. That probably made no sense, but what I mean is that the subtleness within this picture is what I love most about this. Nothing stands out an exceptional amount, as basically everything in this picture works ideally, which I think is actually really nice. I hate commenting on pictures, and saying “oh her face is good, but the body,” and vise versa for a good body but poor looking face. Well, I’m getting sidetracked now – this picture. Love. Ola sort of looks like Cara Delevingne here, facially. Like, the cheekbones and the shape of the lips. I don’t exactly care for Cara, but her look is pretty interesting, and I do think it is a positive thing if you were to look like her, as she is a very pretty girl. Ola’s body here is also completely on point. Yes, she isn’t doing very much like I said, but I seriously dig that. God – who would have possibly thought Ola could look this attractive?!

2) Osi

Yup, Osi got second place once again, haha. I’m honestly starting to feel a little bad, because Osi didn’t get runner-up to Marta, like she usually does, but to Ola, whose picture this week is very likely to be a fluke. I don’t know why, I just find that funny that Osi hasn’t received a first call-out from me yet. Anyway – despite me not placing this picture first, I still really do love this. Almost as much as Ola’s picture, actually. The photoshopping in this picture is more on the extreme side, I do think, but nevertheless, Osi still looks superlatively well here. Her skin is obviously photoshopped in this picture, because I don’t think it’s humanly possible to even have skin that looks that good, but honestly, the photoshop doesn’t faze me all too much, as it’s really my only problem about this picture. Just like Ola, however, I absolutely adore how subtle yet modelesque Osi is within this picture. The subtleness is absolutely gorgeous, and I definitely prefer this over posing to the extreme. She doesn’t have to do much in the first place, because she is quite modelesque as is though, so this outcome is not at all surprising for me. The androgynous feel in this picture is preferably my favorite thing about this. Her cheekbones, jawline – everything about her face here is amazing. Her body is surely on more of the bland side than the extreme side, in my opinion, though the subtleness here is still gorgeous. If she were to just show a little bit more neck, then this could very likely be higher up in placement.

3) Marta

I really feel like I shouldn’t like this picture. I usually absolutely hate pictures of girls (or guys, I suppose) when they’re overposing from hell and back, and while I do think that’s what brings down this picture a few spots for me, I still don’t hate the contrived-ness all too much. Her body and face both look good, they do, just together I find them a big no-no. Like, with that pose, I don’t think it’s necessary for her to make that expression, and likewise to her expression – she doesn’t need to pose like that, given her expression. But like I said – I do dig her face and body here, individually. I think the whole mysterious-like expression she went for works wonders for this shoot, especially seeing how gothic her styling was this week. Also, really love the hat, and even more so – love, love her hair. Marta’s body, just like her face, is over-the-top, but once again, looking at her body individually, and not with looking at her face at the same time, I still really do like her body. She’s showing off the outfit perfectly, in my opinion, and she REALLY looks good in black. I don’t really like what the pants are doing to her crotch, and obviously, her arm being in the air is a bit forced, but all in all, I thought Marta did a fairly solid job this week. Definitely not her best performance, but still not at all bad; Marta could never look bad.

4) Michał B.

I’m probably the only one to not put Michał in the top two of this week. I actually really don’t get it honestly, I don’t get why so many people like this picture so much. I mean, it’s not terrible like I’m kinda making it out to be, but it’s really not that great either; at least, it’s not as great as many make it out to be. Okay, so positives first, because I don’t feel like focusing on the negatives within this picture just yet. Well, I like Michał’s hair here. Doesn’t go all too well with his face, but the color of his hair is highly interesting to me, and I like how it’s combed over like that. His body also is pretty nice, but because he’s so muscular, he looks a little bit big in that jacket. The set up of this picture, like the way him and the horse are looking at the same direction like that is pretty neat looking. Hm, so now the not-so-good comments about this picture. Yeah, don’t exactly care for Michał’s profile. His nose is far too big in general, and his jawline and neck look odd to me. The squint isn’t very attractive either, and why does his ear look like that? Yeah, nice concept for sure, but the execution was kind of poor, in my opinion.

5) Michalina

Is it wrong to like this picture? I do figure people dislike this picture for looking traditional or bland or something on those terms, but eh – I still really like this. Michalina’s face and body could have both looked better here, for sure, but neither look even remotely bad. I like her pose, a little boring, but it works. She’s owning the horse; she’s the first thing I look at in this picture, not the horse, so kudos for that. The white and red both look really great on her. Just like her pose, I’m a little bored by Michalina’s face. It’s good, yes, obviously, Michalina’s face is very captivating, but she looks rather sleepy. Not the good kind of sleepy, like Abbey Lee Kershaw, I mean like only getting one hour of sleep the night before this shoot. Really love the outline of Michalina’s jawline here, however. Not at all a bad picture, I was just expecting more from this girl… once again.

6) Ewelina

Easily my most unpopular opinion of the week. I certainly see many people viewing this picture as being really good, and while I don’t think this is a bad picture, I’m not very interested in it either. I don’t exactly think Ewelina looks her age here firstly; she looks about 10 years older, and I do think I’ve commented about her looking older than she actually is in prior weeks. That’s not the only thing that gets me about this picture. I also don’t care for the expression on Ewelina’s face here. For sure it’s full of life, and looks pretty realistic, but I just don’t care for how shocked she looks, facially. I just wished she closed her mouth, and squinted her eyes a little, because I do think that would have improved this picture leaps and bounds. Her body promotes less problems than her face I do believe, but I don’t think it makes up for the negatives in her face either. What she’s wearing is very interesting, which does entice me more, I will admit though.

7) Mateusz J.

These last two pictures are equally bad, in my opinion. It’s not really that they’re bad; they’re more so bland, but nevertheless, don’t care for either of these pictures in the bottom two. They both missed the mark, and simply look very pedestrian-like. Still not sure why I ranked Misza as my elimination vote over Mateusz J this week. I suppose I’m sort of just throwing Mateusz a bone or something, seeing as he will receive many future elimination votes from me, as well as more bottom two appearances. Anyway – this picture is not at all interesting, as I stated already. Nothing about this entices me in any sort of the way, though I will say his face does look a little hot, albeit he does look a tad bit dumbfounded and lost, which is kinda cute. Still don’t like this dude though, and he doesn’t look like a model AT ALL. His body here, on the other hand, is not attractive whatsoever. Neither in a pedestrian-esque way, and obviously not in a modelesque sort of manner. He looks like a square. Literally. He looks like a big, fat square. The horse does steal majority of the attention within this picture as well, as do the houses in the background. Haha, just kidding, but you get my point – this isn’t a standout picture.

8) Misza (Eliminated)

If I’m being completely honest, I’m not so sure if I agree with Misza being cut here. I mean, if everything went my way, I probably would have ended up cutting her a week after this, because I can’t say that she was very much of a standout, though this was probably her first official mess up, as she has remained rather consistent in recent weeks. My least favorite thing about this picture would honestly be the fact that Misza had to pose with two horse, while everyone else just posed with one. Not sure if this is true, but apparently Misza is afraid of horses(?). Yeah, if I heard that correctly, then this screams sabotage in every way possible. Not sure if it is because of the horses, but Misza also looks very awkward here. Like she doesn’t want to be there, which I could understand. I’ll give her that she looks tall, and the black and white outfit is really cool looking, and she does wear the outfit well, but she just delivered complete uncomfortability in every other way this week. Yeah, so I suppose this girl being eliminated wasn’t that bad after all.
